These chicken poppers have a nice kick and are dangerous - once you start, it's hard to stop.

Preparation: 10 minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes

 

 

Chicken Fire Poppers

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

1 ½-2 lb chicken breast, sliced or cubed

Flour (as much as needed)

1-2 eggs

Cornflake or bread crumbs (as much as needed)

Sauce:

1/3 cup hot sauce

½ cup sugar

½ cup brown sugar

¼ cup honey

 

 

Directions:

1.   Dip chicken into flour, then egg, then crumbs.

2.   Heat 1-inch of canola oil in a large skillet over medium/high heat.

3.   When oil is hot, add chicken in a single layer (2 batches).

4.   Fry until golden brown, 3-4 minutes each side.

5.   Heat sauce in microwave and serve as dipping sauce on side.

6.   Optional – Preheat oven to 350.  Cover chicken with sauce, bake covered for 20 minutes
